I have always been interested in how to capture a feeling and how to create one and communicate that. I have always created mood boards and is someone who has many boards on Pinterest for a variety of miscellaneous things. Looking at photos with light and focus that complements each other and adding in different things until they blend into a combined mood is therapeutic.
In class we looked at different photographers and I’ve picked the ones I was drawn to the most. These photographs are created by Rottingdean Bazaar. Now they are not particularly something I would create. Although I have an appreciation for their fun nature and humour.
ROTTINGDEAN BAZAAR
Jacquemus
The photos below I feel if you follow them and know the brand you know these are Jacquemus. The lo-fi quality gives off an honest and natural feel. An ease of the south of France. Not perfection just living. I really enjoy these as they make me nostalgic of my hot summers, naked swimming, fruit eating, childhood.
Juergen Teller
After class I went off and did my own research as I came across this one photo of Kate Moss I particularly liked. The photographer is Juergen Teller, a fine-art and fashion photographer.

The feeling of this is that fresh out of the shower after a day in the hot sun. Having fun getting ready for dinner in the bathroom before you go out. The warmth and vibrancy radiate from this photo with the beautiful colours.
Other photos from this photographer that I like are:

This warm slightly darker photo that I realised was on the slide in class. The golden feeling coming from her skin and the dark red wall, I think are so beautiful together. As well as the slight rusty red coming from the car.

Then this one, of Kate again. Juergen Teller photographed Moss a lot in the 90s and 2000’s. The playfulness with prints and her expression in this photo is what I love. Especially the warm colours softening the light.
After researching photographers and figuring out what I liked, I Collated some of the photos and created a mood board. This mood board reflects my brand and how I want it to feel.

At this point I thought it was time to create my own photographs. My customer profiles are based off international party girls and sometimes guys.
So, I wanted to do a series of photoshoots that were over the course of a trip in Italy and in France.
Photoshoot 1 - Packing

The first images are the packing portion and deciding on your best pieces that you can grab from your bag and put on at a moment’s notice.
Photoshoot 2- Picking outfit

The second photoshoot is in Italy and she’s picking out her outfit, getting ready to go out for dinner.
