Styling Education

Styling has always intrigued me.

Erwin wurm is an Austrian artist and is known to create “weird “shapes as moulds and stretches fabric. His works is aiming to escape formalism. I really enjoy the minimalism of this photoe and the cohesiveness between two people, with their feet poking out at the bottom.

This one is also interesting with the pale blue and the shape as the figure looks like they’re trying to stretch and get out.

The contrast of formal suiting and natural greenery as if it’s growing from them is how he is showing his signature in breaking away from formality.

Congregation design

I found these images interesting because of the tight white top over the glower blue and the white sleeve creates a nice contrast in silhouette.

They are known for sustainability and using different designers for each project coming together to mix art, fashion and artisan skills. These outfits are Limited edition and are also Made on request, one of a kind.

Judy Blume

When we were shown Judy Blume, I found his process and concept interesting. We were told that he picks coins and kick-knacks off the street to create accessories and to style them in his signature way.

I especially love the top left photo with the natural colours and string/hair like textile to create a luxurious piece.

Ib Kamara

The way this person creates a photo and brings it altogether is beautiful. Ib Kamara was born in Sierra Leone and is a London based fashion journalist, stylist, creative director that works for dazed magazine.

His messages involve gender fluidity, African identity and queerness.

The white and blues in these photos create a calming ocean fluid like feel. He is great at bringing different themes together to translate his ideas into a world of their own

Judy Swartz

Judy Swartz is someone who I have always thanked as her career created the Olsen twin looks. The effortless duo since birth have always been style icons in my eyes. Even to this day. Judy Swartz has influenced their style as she dressed them through their teens.

Styling is something that comes across as fun and easy but to create a whole new world with others talent is a skill.
